We know everyone's itching to get out of town and find cooler climates, but before you go it's important to ensure that your vehicle is ready for the journey. Avoid a summer road trip nightmare with these useful vehicle inspection tips.

Check your tires. When driving a long distance, especially in hot weather, it's incredibly important to make sure your tires are in good condition. The last thing you want is to have a tire blowout when you're driving through the middle of nowhere, so check the tread and tire pressure before your trip.

Battery inspection. Dealing with a dead battery at home is one thing, but when you're out of town or in the midst of a long journey, it can be a huge burden. If it's been a while since you last had your vehicle's battery replaced, it's a must to have it inspected ahead of your trip. Bring your car to us before you leave town and we'll check your battery's power level and make sure its terminal connectors are in good shape.

Check the oil. Many people wait to get an oil change after returning from their summer road trips, but it's ideal to have an oil change before leaving. As the lifeblood of your engine, oil helps keep important (and expensive) engine parts well lubricated and also assists in transferring heat away from the motor. If you're due for an oil change, bring your car to our service center in Dallas and we'll get your car ready to hit the road.
