Metro Relief is an organization dedicated to helping the homeless population near Frisco. Austin Bonds is the founder, and he began his work in New York City before feeling a call to help those in Texas. Initially, the organization could only hand out sack lunches. Since then, they have grown to do so much more.
Homelessness does not care who a person is. The Metro Relief team has met and worked with people from all different backgrounds. While over half of who they serve are adults, they also see many children and senior citizens. Approximately 7% of the homeless they encounter have served in the United States Armed Forces.

So how does Metro Relief help? They have connected over seventy people with the resources they need to make positive changes in their lives. From their bus, they have served 10,203 cups of soup. They have also served 16,652 drinks and provided 9,543 pairs of socks and hygiene kits. Metro Relief has handed out 135 bibles and prayed over 630 homeless individuals.
This organization's volunteers include mission teams, individuals from churches, court-ordered community service participants, corporate groups, and civic groups. They have helped to home 27 individuals, and the Street Outreach team has managed 146 cases. The life-changing assistance provided includes referrals and other resources that have helped many people in the Dallas-Fort Worth area change their lives for the better.
