A Core gets 18-inch 5-spoke Glossy Black Diamond cut wheels, while the Ultra comes with 20-inch 5-Y Spoke Glossy Black Diamond cut wheels. This slight difference isn't so slight and gives both trims a distinct performance.
Appearance
A 2026 XC60 is designed cleanly, like all Volvo models. The LED headlamps have a crystal-like appearance that sits strikingly to the sides of the grille. Volvo believes its appearance leaves a "graceful, energetic silhouette." The Ultra trim includes a few extra standard features, including a stainless steel scuff plate. The Core gets a plastic scuff plate instead.
Features
The interior and safety features of the Core and Ultra are what make the trims different the most. Core models feature Quilted Nordico upholstery, while the Ultra trim features ventilated Nappa leather upholstery. Ultra trims also get power side bolsters and a Harman Kardon premium sound system. Driver-assist features differ between the two as well, with the Ultra adding a Head-Up Display and enhanced Park Assist. If you want Pilot Assist for your 2026 XC60, you'll need to get the Ultra as well. It's the only one of the two trims that offers this feature standard. Your Ultra can intuitively handle stop-and-go driving and adjust speed based on what's ahead. It can also make minor steering adjustments and maintain your position in the center of your lane. Still, the Core offers amazing driver-assist features.
