What's New for the 2026 Volvo XC60?

The XC60, which is Volvo's compact SUV, gets a few minor updates for the 2026 model year, but overall it remains a fun, enjoyable, and luxurious vehicle to drive. The 2026 edition features a new Google-based infotainment system. You can still choose between multiple powertrains, including a plug-in hybrid for improved fuel efficiency. There are some slight changes to the Volvo's appearance too, including refreshed wheel designs and an expanded selection of paint colors. The XC60 also has an updated front grille design that makes it look more like the Volvo XC90. Otherwise, the XC60 still stands out for its spacious second row, upscale cabin, and abundance of safety features.

The trim lineup remains the same for the 2026 model year.

Starting off the lineup is the Core. This trim has 18-inch wheels and LED headlights that turn as you go around corners. A standard panoramic sunroof brightens the cabin, and for safety, you'll also get auto-dimming exterior mirrors. You also have a choice between synthetic leather and cloth upholstery, depending on the paint color you choose for this trim. The new Google-based infotainment system also comes with Google Map-based navigation, and you'll also get a digital instrument cluster and a nine-inch touchscreen display. Apple CarPlay is standard, and the base trim has a 10-speaker sound system. A portable charger is included for the plug-in hybrid version.

Second in line is the Plus, which has slightly larger 19-inch wheels along with standard synthetic leather upholstery. A cabin air purifier is included in this trim, and you'll get more safety aids.

Third in the lineup is the Ultra. This trim piles on the luxury with premium Nappa leather seats and climate-controlled seats that are heated and ventilated. The cabin can be controlled to your liking with four-zone climate control, and the sound system is upgraded to a 14-speaker Harman Kardon system.

Topping the lineup is the Polestar Engineered, which has even larger 21-inch wheels, suspension dampers, and a sport-tuned suspension. This model also has special Brembo brakes and a 15-speaker sound system.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2026 V60 Have?

The base model has a hybrid system with a turbo V4 engine that produces 247 horsepower. The plug-in version gets up to 455 horsepower and 35 miles of electric range.
