Which Features are Available for 2020?

The trim-level structure of Volvo is attractive because you can select from any of the powertrains to your desired trim level. This means the nicest optional features aren't exclusive to the most expensive engine. The XC60 comes in four different trim lines - Momentum, R-Design, Inscription, and Polestar. All models feature a gorgeous 9.0-inch touchscreen display (as well as a 12.3-inch driver display) which essentially mimics the screen of your smartphone. A comfortable and quiet cabin provides ample room for five adults, all in the famous Swedish minimalism and design. Bluetooth connectivity and a Wi-Fi hotspot powered by 4G LTE data connection are available across all trims. As a crossover, cargo capacity is excellent, and the use of high-quality materials makes driving or riding in the XC60 a true delight.

How does the Volvo XC60 Engine Balance Power Needs and Fuel Economy?

2020 Volvo XC60Volvo offers three different engine options, all of which are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The T5 engine is an in-line four-cylinder turbocharged powertrain producing 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Next up is the T6, which is an in-line four-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged engine that pumps out 316 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Lastly, the T8 is again an in-line four-cylinder that is not only turbocharged and supercharged but also features two electric motors for an incredible 400 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, but upgrading to either the T6 or T8 adds all-wheel drive. All engines are incredibly efficient and have excellent fuel consumption.

Volvo XC60 Safety Features

2020 Volvo XC60The Volvo claim to fame has always been its safety features, and the XC60 is no exception. Included in its impressive suite of safety features are oncoming lane mitigation, rear cross-traffic alerts, and excellent high-resolution cameras. Volvo uses ultra-high-strength boron steel to form a rigid safety cell around the car while employing front and rear crumple zones that dissipate energy in the event of a crash.

City Safety is the class-leading safety innovation from Volvo that spots potential danger and helps drivers avoid it by using a series of cameras and radar to identify other vehicles, pedestrians, or even large animals. The system applies the brakes automatically to help avoid or mitigate a collision. The Driver Alert Control monitors steering inputs and can sense if driving becomes erratic or if the driver has signs of drowsiness, providing an audible warning and message. Lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control with a semi-autonomous driving mode ensure that everyone remains safe inside.
