What's New for the 2025 Volvo XC60?

In 2025, the Volvo XC60 has some minor changes to its available features. Several trims have name changes, although the lineup otherwise stays the same. The trim previously called the "Ultimate" is now named the "Ultra" trim", and the former T8 trim level is now called the "T8 AWD plug-in hybrid."

What Are the 2025 XC60 Trims & Features?

The Volvo XC60 family's trim lineup starts with the B5 Core. This trim level, like the others, is a two-row luxury SUV. The features you'll get at the base level include a panoramic sunroof and Google, along with comfortable seats and plenty of safety aids.

Next in the series is the B5 Plus. The Plus builds on the features of the Core with an air purifier system and interior lighting to illuminate the cabin and give it a more upscale look. Pilot driving assist is also standard.

The B5 Ultra follows the first two trim levels. Along with the name change, this year's Ultra features more standard amenities, including a Harman Kardon sound system, ventilated front seats, and a head-up display.

After that trim comes the T8 Core; Bluetooth and navigation are standard, along with satellite radio and a keyless entry system. A sunroof is standard, and the back seats fold flat.

The B5 Black Edition is next in the XC60 lineup. This model has the features of the Core base trim plus glossy black exterior badges, a special black paint color, and 21-inch black wheels.

The T8 Plus comes with a cabin air purifier, synthetic leather seats, and more safety technology.

The T8 Ultra is the next car in the lineup. This model has the features of the B5 Ultra and a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

The T8 Ultra Black Edition follows with a black color scheme, Nappa leather seats, four-zone climate control, and more seat adjustments.

The top Polestar Engineered has heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, performance tires, and a Bowers & Wilkins sound system.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 XC60 Have?

The base powertrain, called the B5, produces 247 horsepower with a 2.0L engine and mild hybrid system. The T8 powertrain produces 455 horsepower with a larger battery.

What Safety Features Does the 2025 XC60 Include?

The XC60 includes lane-keep assist, blind-spot warning, forward collision mitigation, and rear parking sensors.
